ASAMAAN Festival of Music and Astronomy realized its first edition on Gorée Island in Dakar, Senegal, 19 April 2013. The festival presented a site-specific intervention at the Monument of Gorée integrating art, science, and technology via a public astronomical observatory, concerts by international musicians and video art / VJing.
